Cardiff University has a clean room situated within the Institute For Compound

Semiconductors (ICS Clean room). The cleanroom has recently undergone some extensive

refurbishment works and will see further improvements when it moves into the new Translational

Research Hub. In preparation of the move the University is reviewing its equipment

requirements for the facility.

Therefore, Cardiff University is looking for a new wire bonder tool to generate electrical

interconnections between processed devices and readout infrastructures (chip headers, PCBs

etc). The University encourages bids from suppliers that have experience of supplying wire

bonders to organisations of a similar nature.
